  • I use an eclectic approach of modalities in order to best meet the needs of each individual clients. My primary interventions are EMDR, IFS, feminist therapy, and mindfulness strategies to regulate the nervous system. You can read more about those on my Work with Lauren page.

  • I work traumas of all types, but especially ones that disproportionately impact women and girls — namely, patriarchal trauma, complex trauma, perinatal trauma, and childhood trauma. You can read more about this on my Work with Lauren page.

  • Patriarchal trauma is the cumulative toll of living in a system that devalues, polices, and silences women.

  • Nope! As a clinical social worker, I am bound by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, which mandates engagement in social justice advocacy as a core professional responsibility. This commitment is explicitly outlined in Section 6 of the Code, which emphasizes the profession's duty to engage in social and political action to address policies and practices that perpetuate injustice.

  • Yes, when I say I work with mad women I mean all women 🏳️‍⚧️. Nonbinary and folx exploring their gender identity are also more than welcome to reach out. I don’t have specialized experience working with those communities, but I would love to chat and see if we’re a good fit. If we aren’t, I’d be happy to help find you a clinician who is!

  • Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. However, I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. To see if you qualify for reimbursement, you can use the HIPAA-compliant benefits checker on my Work with Lauren page. If you qualify, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed.

  • My rate is $200 per session. All sessions are 55-minutes long.

  • Clients provide their credit card information before the intake session, and I charge the designated card at the end of each appointment through the secure online billing platform Stripe. I accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

  • At this time, I only sees clients through telehealth. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom for therapy sessions.

  • I am only licensed to provide individual therapy to clients in those specific states. If you live in a different state and need help finding a clinician who does this kind of work, please feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to connect you with someone!

  • Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for clients, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. If for any reason a session is canceled less than 24 hours prior, clients will be charged the full session amount.
